Whole Foods

This 62,200 sq.ft. shell for Whole Foods, located near Bridgeport Village Shopping Center, received the Top Project award by DJC Magazine. The shell was constructed of a non-traditional CMU system that allows for a unique custom-color and pattern on its exterior. Stearns assisted the Engineer-of-Record with design of joists, beams, the steel decking system, and tube frames, along with procurement, detailing, and fabrication.  Additionally, Stearns provided the steel for the exterior canopies, trellis, and accent features. The construction team worked in close collaboration to bring this state-of-the-art shell to successful completion on time and within budget.
