This unique steel-framed project was Walmart’s first “stacked” two-level store combining a Sam’s Club above Walmart. The structure features almost 1,000,000 sq.ft. of total construction including 400,000 sq.ft. of retail & support space, plus an adjacent 4-story, 1,700 stall parking garage. Stearns was approached to provide design assistance, the most economical structural steel system, and an aggressive, fast-track schedule. Stearns’ contributions helped to bring this state-of-the-art retail and parking facility to completion on time and within budget.
