Stearns was approached by DPR Construction to redesign the over-budget concrete scheme and construct the new structural steel scheme. The collaborative process with Skilling, Ward, Magnusson, Barkshire Engineers, KMD Architects, DPR, and Stearns, significantly reduced structure cost and helped bring the project back into budget. This 80,000 sq. ft. hospital was designed with very stringent vibration criteria and includes a large heli-pad on the roof.
