Brewery Block One, in the historic district of Portland, Oregon, carries a 100-year old concrete façade, within which Stearns erected the steel frame.

Inside the high-end grocery retail section, SmartBeams were painted and left exposed for their aesthetic appeal.

The 250-pound live-loads, and 50-foot spans on the upper telco floors, were an extremely cost effective use of SmartBeam framing.

This celebrated structure received Core and Shell LEED Certification.
