A 89,000 square-foot parking garage for Legacy Emanuel Hospital’s expansion project. This architecturally unique 3-level, free-standing structure is framed in cellular beams and was designed for future vertical expansion. The structural system features buckling restrained braces which are a specialty steel item that resists seismic loads and performs better than standard steel sections. This portion of the project required Stearns' close coordination with the design team. The structure was built using SmartBeam technology.
